We had a fantastic weekend getaway to San Francisco. We stayed at a beautiful Hilton right near Chinatown and close to everything (thank goodness I work in hotels!). On Saturday morning, Aimee, Dave, Ella, Tim and I grabbed breakfast at a quaint little cafe and hiked up to Coit tower. We had never been and it was quite a workout. We had to climb a hill that was so steep we were almost walking on all fours! The view from the top was breathtaking and we felt such a sense of accomplishment. After our long hike, it was time to head off for Tricia's graduation. Tricia has been working on her Masters in Fine Art for two years, barely getting any free time. We were all so proud of her and it was great to see her hardwork. We were able to view her thesis project and her studio space where she worked over the last few years. We went to Top of the Mark which is supposed to be the best view of the city for "drinks" to celebrate. Then it was off to an Italian dinner. We had to wait a long period of time and it was freezing, but well worth it. Sunday we ventured out to Tricia's neighborhood Noe Valley for a family breakfast at a small Middle Eastern cafe then to a coffee shop for hot chocolate and visiting. Aimee, Dave, and Ella had to leave early for their plane and Tricia's boyfriend Tom had to get on the road back to LA, so Tim and I had the whole day to spend with Tricia. We had never been up to the Golden Gate bridge, so we took a long bus ride over and then walked halfway across the bridge. Tim was funny... he wouldn't walk near the edge because he is scared of heights (and public speaking!). After walking the bridge, we decided we had better head back to town for an early dinner before Tim and I had to catch the BART to the airport. We ate at a wonderful Thai restaurant SOMA and then said our goodbyes. It was such a fun little trip and we were so glad we got the chance to celebrate with Tricia! Congrats Tricia, we love you!

Hey Kim glad to see you guys enjoyed San Fran. Your mom does not look a day different to me. That is exactly what I remember. Did you ever get my last email about coming out and hoping to meet up with you?
